How To Import Your Activity

You can upload a file to be imported on "New Activity" in the left menu under Groundshift icon. There are 3 assistants to help you achieve carbon footprint calculating results:

With Assistant, Add record and Upload template.

What Is With Assistant

"With Assistant" feature helps you to identify your activity emission category with an assisting AI on Groundshift so you never have to worry about your activity becoming incorrect.

Steps:

  1. Preparing your activity file Groundshift supports importing content from your activity in file formats of Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

Your file may contain only one sheet, consists of such as dates and your activity source, amount and unit.

  1. Upload file You can upload file by clicking in the uploading box or drag and drop your file from the other window to the uploading box. After importing the file, you're going to choose "Ask Groundshift AI" to analyze your activity category.

  2. "Activity category" check > "Get Preview Data" Groundshift AI will suggest a category of your activity. You can correct the "Activity category" if you do not think it belong to the suggested category

  3. Final check In the right-hand table, you will see a preview activity table in Groundshift template format.

  4. Select "Building" Select a building where those activities happened, belonged to or managed by.

  5. Download .xlsx The Final check will provide Excel file which is already transformed into Groundshift format for you to download at "Download .xlsx " and you can save on your computer.

  6. Confirm upload To generate carbon footprint emission result, press "Confirm upload".

What Is Add Record

Add record is where you can add your activity without inputting a file and helps you collect data daily, only by knowing:

  1. Name of the source Name of your organization staff who enters the record.

  2. Building A building where the activity happened.

  3. Entry date Define the date that the activity begins.

  4. Activity category Choose the category your activity considered in.

  5. Electricity Your electricity usage will be collected in amount used in unit of "kwh".

  6. The others category Other emission activities besides electricity need "Fuel type" > "Amount used" > "Unit"

  7. Add new record Click on "Add new record" after you finished entering activity information.

What Is Upload Template

Once you want to have an activity record format to be able to upload into Groundshift analysis, you can access to Groundshift original template and download for collecting data. You will know what data you will be needing for carbon footprint analysis.

Steps:

  1. Preparing your activity file Groundshift supports importing content from your activity in file formats of Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

Your file has to match with Groundshift template which you can find in the Step 2.

  1. Download template Check template file help you to download template, you can use this template to collect your data. Or you prefer to adjust your existed file to match with Groundshift format.

  2. Select "Building" Define a building where your activity occurred.

  3. Upload file to "Activity log file" You can upload your file into the "Activity log file" box > press "Confirm upload"

You can get a template file by clicking at "Download Template" button
